Exporting Windows Renpy For Mac
A downloadable RPA Extractor for Windows
For Windows Server 2012 and later operating system versions, you can export the NPS configuration using Windows PowerShell. The command syntax for exporting the NPS configuration is as follows. Export-NpsConfiguration -Path The following table lists parameters for the Export-NpsConfiguration cmdlet in Windows PowerShell. Parameters in bold are required.
Tool to extract images from RenPy games' .rpa files. Use the three D's to use:
1. Download
2. Drag .rpa file on rpaExtract.exe
Please help anyone if you can. Some insiders have been able to get Ralink drivers for initial pc mfg release to work. Ralink rt5390r 802.11bgn driver for mac. Which means you may need to search your pc's mfg.
3. Done
To do this on macOS (aka Mac OS X), watch this video.
Useful for people who made a game and uploaded it and then their hard drive with the source files exploded.
Using this tool on other people's games might be considered 'reverse-engineering'. If you have doubts about the legality of doing so, consider reading the terms (EULA) of the game you are trying to reverse-engineer and consider reading this stackexchange thread.
Using this tool on other people's games could also simply be considered cheating, which no one in the world will care about (I am not a lawyer).
If you want more than look at pictures/listen to audio to satisfy your personal curiosity, remember not to infringe on other people's copyright. Protip: fair use.

Thanks! I got easy access to all of the DDLC images with this.
Well. There's two bucks I'll never get back. The RPA Extractor didn't work for me. It won't open at all.
Refund: https://itch.io/t/129454/how-are-refunds-handled
Doesn't work:
1. Create C:/test/
2. Copy the .rpa and rpaextract.exe to C:/test/
3. Drag the .rpa onto rpaextract.exe
Still doesn't work:
1. Do the above
2. Press WINDOWSKEY+R and enter 'cmd'
3. type in 'c:' ENTER then 'cd test' ENTER
4. type rpaextract.exe [filename].rpa
write any error message as a comment here please and I'll take a look.
When I checked the exe file on virus total, it shows 10 engines where a few say trojan. I'm just curious on what they mean since I am a bit new to checking for viruses and all that.
Very fair to point that out. I don't know why this happens. I re-checked and by now it's only 9 warnings. I don't recognize any of the 9 antivirus software names that flag it (besides ClamVM which I know of because it's open source and 'McAfee-GW-Edition' which I only know because of the name 'McAfee'.) The 'normal McAfee strangely does not flag rpaExtract.exe.
In the end, it seems like false positives.
please fix it, win 10 is not working, Oct.30 , 2019
which game? what happens? what did your antivirus software say?
Tried to use this extractor to unpack archive.rpa files, doesn't work sadly.
which game? what happens? what did your antivirus software say?
^ This game. It's still in development phase and I just want to see how many CGs are there in the beta build. After I drag & dropped the rpa file (the filesize is more than 1gb), the program works as intended but then stopped working midway through (the window simply disappearing, leaving no extracted/decrypted files). I don't think my antivirus blocked it or interfere the process since there's no error pop out or something like that.
It works for me. It created the 'date' folder, which contains the assets.
My theory why it didn't work for you:
1. You have very little RAM (turn off all other applications)
2. Your file path contains non-ASCII characters (russian characters in your username path perhaps). Move the game install files to C:test for example and put the rpaExtract.exe in the same folder as archive.rpa, then follow the video instructions.
If it still doesn't work, you can try to run the tool in a command line or powershell .rpaExtract.exe archive.rpa so you check whether there are any error messages when it crashes.
finally

So what do I need to do on MacOS, that would be a great help for me?
Thank you !

The Ren'Py Visual Novel Engine is a free software engine which facilitates the creation of visual novels, a form of computer-mediated storytelling. Ren'Py is a portmanteau of ren'ai (恋愛), the Japanese word for 'romantic love', a common element of games made using Ren'Py; and Python, the programming language that Ren'Py runs on. Ren'Py has proved attractive to English-language hobbyists; over 1000 games use the Ren'Py engine, nearly all in English.[3][4]
Features[edit]
Ren'Py includes the ability to create branching stories, save file systems, rollback to previous points in the story, a variety of scene transitions, DLC, and so on. The engine also allows for movie playback for both full-screen movies and animated sprites, in-engine animation (using the built in 'Animation and Translation Language', or ATL), and full animation and customization of UI elements via 'Screen Language'. Ren'Py scripts have a screenplay-like syntax, and can also include blocks of Python code to allow advanced users to add new features of their own. In addition, tools are included in the engine distribution to obfuscate scripts and archive game assets to mitigate copyright infringement.[5][6][7][8]
Ren'Py is built on pygame, which is built with Python on SDL. The Ren'Py SDK is officially supported on Windows, recent versions of Mac OS X, and Linux; and can be installed via the package managers of the Arch Linux, Ubuntu, Debian, and Gentoo (in experimental overlay[9]) Linux distributions. Ren'Py can build games for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Android,[5], OpenBSD[10], iOS.[11][5], and HTML5 with Web Assembly.[5]
Reception[edit]
Ren'Py has been recommended as a video game creation engine by several outlets, including Indie Games Plus, MakeUseOf, and The Guardian.[12][13][14] It has been used in classes at Carnegie Mellon School of Art,[15] , Faculty of Art at University Tunku Abdul Rahman, Kampar, Perak, Malaysia, and as a tool for information literacy.[16]
