The steps below will force your Sansa players to connect in MSC mode to your PC. This is typically done for troubleshooting computer connection problems and problems with the player not turning on. If you want to change the default connection mode on your player, refer to Changing the USB Mode of your Sansa.
Sansa Fuze+
1. Turn device OFF.
2. Press and hold Volume Down button.
3. Connect device to PC while holding Volume Down button.
4. Once the Fuze+ connects in MSC mode release Volume Down button.
Sansa Fuze
1. Turn device OFF.
2. Slide the Hold switch down to Lock (orange color showing).
3. Press and hold the left button ( << ) while connecting the device to the PC.
SanDisk Clip Sport
The Clip Sport is an MSC only player therefore it is always in MSC mode
SanDisk Clip Jam
The Clip Jam is an MSC only player therefore it is always in MSC mode
Sansa Clip Zip
1. Turn device OFF.

3. Facing the scroll wheel, press and hold the left button (left side of the scroll wheel) while connecting the device to the PC.

1. Turn device OFF.
2. Slide the hold switch to the direction of the headphone jack so an orange color would show putting the device on Hold.
3. Press and hold the ( << ) button while connecting the device to the PC.
Sansa e200v1/e200R
The original Sansa e200 series do NOT have Force MSC.
